I've currently finished my second semester as of two weeks ago, and I currently hold a 4.0 gpa--AND I'm in Phi Theta Kappa my community college's honor society. So here's the run down on how my classes went....
Drawing = Fairly good....learnt a few things, but overall I feel like it could have been better than what it was. I'm going to have to hold out for University before I get more drawing classes.
Biology = I'm shocked I made it out with an A. The two exams before my final I did poorly, and I studied hard for those. It wasn't that bad, but I wasn't partial to the teacher's teaching methods. She was at least nice though, but teaching isn't her strong suit.
Sociology = Definitely a subject I love, and my instructor was awesome. Got an A on all my exams, it was all really easy to remember, and incredibly interesting. If I didn't love Art and Animation so much, I'd SO go into sociology and history.
English Composition I = Lots and lots of fun! Most of my essays achieved B's and A's. My writing has definitely improved and I feel far more confident than I did before with my english. The instructor hands down is my favorite, and I can't wait to see him again for English Comp II!!!!!!
I've already enrolled for my third semester in spring. The most classes I've ever had, but I know I can do it. I cannot wait to see my college friends again!
My courses for next semester =
Painting I (Though there is no other painting classes, I'm excited since I love painting.)
Design II (It's three-dimensional art, not really my area...but eh)
Theatre Appreciation (From what I've heard it's extremely easy, and you get to watch a ton of movies!)
Online Orientation (I just needed this to take another online class, it's just an introduction to online courses)
Introduction to Psychology (I wanted it to be a sit in class, but it conflicted with my schedule, so I'm taking it online)
English Composition II (Cannot wait for this class, but at the same time nervous. It's a three hour night class once a week, and the work load is gonna be a LOT.)
Introduction to Video Game Design (So, So , SOOOOO happy I got into this class with my friend. They just added this class, and I cannot wait!!!)
and a class I just added, but looking the most forward to....
Comics and Cartooning!!!!!!!
It's mostly going to be about storytelling, and layout, but I don't CARE! I'm so friggen excited!!!!! Also, the art instructor who is by default the ONLY art instructor at my college is NOT teaching this class. It's actually a cartoonist and comic artist who's going to be a sort of guest teacher even though he doesn't have a teaching degree.
So there you have it, I'm going to be even more busy than I was these past few months, but I have so many more classes I'm looking forward to. That and I've made some awesome friends, so I can't wait to hang out with them all again.
P.S. As for DeviantArt, don't worry, I am still here, I just don't have as much time for it. I've been slowly cleaning out my art and have been contemplating a total clean out, or a new account. I guess it's a little hiatus, but I still check in, I just don't post as often as I once did.
